Biography
Dr. Buchvarova graduated in medicine from the Sofia Medical University in 1996. She received a specialization in ‘Microbiology’ in 2001. From 1998 to 2007, she worked as a medical intern and a research associate in the National Reference Laboratory ‘Control and Monitoring of Antimicrobial Resistance’ in NCZB. From 2007 to 2011, she worked as a medical intern at the laboratory of Clinical Microbiology and Virusology in the University Hospital Lozenetz. During the same period she leads the Microbiology Laboratory of Vita Multidisciplinary Hospital. She has publications in the sphere of antibiotic resistance. She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Microbiologists and the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
