Biography
Dr. Tonev graduated from the Sofia Medical University in 1967, and has 41 years of surgical experience. Over the period of 1969-2006, he was a member of the first surgery team of the university hospital Alexsandrova, where he rose through all the department ranks from intern to chief resident. He worked for seven and half years in Libya, and has 30 scientific publications in national and international medical journals. Dr. Tonev’s professional interest is focused upon gall bladder, liver, and pancreatic surgery and colorectal surgery.
