Biography
Dr. Tzvetan Minchev graduated from Sofia Medical University in 1989. He worked for two years in the general surgery department in the Military Medical Academy and the Cardiac Surgery department in the Lozenetz base in Sofia, Bulgaria. From 1992 to 2006, he worked as a thoracic surgeon in the specialized hospital for the active treatment of lung diseases “Sveta Sofia”. He has two specializations: general surgery and thoracic surgery. Dr. Minchev has been with our hospital since its construction. His professional interests are in the implementation of mini-invasive surgical techniques, and he has over 20 publications in the national and international medical press. He has participated in numerous national and international scientific forums, and he is member of the Bulgarian Association of Thoracic Surgery, the Bulgarian Association of Pulmonology, and the European Association of Cardiac-Thoracic Surgery. He is fluent in Russian and English.
