Biography
Adrienne Pereira was graduated in 2012 from the University of Fribourg as a psychologist. She wrote her Master thesis in cognitive neurosciences on familiar face recognition under Prof. Roberto Caldara’s supervision. She started her PhD in May 2013 under the supervision of Eva Green at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lausanne. Interested in Bulgarian culture for a long time, she enrolled on the interethnic relationships in Bulgaria project as part of her PhD project. Her research interests are oriented toward the social managing of culture-related problematic. She is studying normative and structural influences on people’s intercultural contact attitudes and habits through the concepts of prejudice, contact and more generally speaking acculturation. As a student, she was invested in several university associations’ work teams and commissions, and is currently applying to represent PhD students in the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of Lausanne. Beside, she has got several work experiences with children; She recently worked as a scientific collaborator in Switzerland, collecting data about alcohol consume representations in 3 to 5 years old preschool and school children. She is also the Webmaster for this project.
