Georgi Hristov

Biography

Assoc. prof. Hristov has graduated medicine from Medical University, Sofia in 1987. He has two specialties - Internal Diseases and Allergology and clinical immunology. In 2005 he acquired master degree in Public health and healthcare managent from Medical University, Sofia. The same year he is recognized for his scintific degree 'doctor'. Professional experience: 1988: Jinior Assistant in Faculty of Allergology in Scientific Institute for Internal Diseases (SIID), Medical Academy - Sofia;  1992: Senior Assistant in Clinical Center for Allergology, Medical University, Sofia; 1999-2008: Chief Assistant in Clinical Center for Allergology, Medical University, Sofia; 2009: Assoc. prof. from Medical University, Sofia, Faculty of Public Health, Department for Economics of Healthcare. Specializations:  04 - 09.1995 - Clinical Allergology and Immunology in Allergology Laboratory, University Hospital Groningen, The Netherlands. Scientific interests:  Bronchial Asthma and Allergic Inflammation, Bronchial Asthma and its Relations to Allergic Rhinitis and COPD, Anti-inflammatory Properties of Antihistamine medicines, Epidemiology of Allergic Diseases and Asthma, Pharmacoeconomics of Bronchial Asthma, Pricing, Reimbursement and Usage of Medicines, Regulation of the Pharmaceutical Market, Public Health and Health Management. Membership in scientific societies:  National Association of Health Policy and Management, Bulgarian Society of Allergology, European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology. Publications and scientific events: More than 80 publications in national and international journals, more than 20 appearances on national and international events.
