Biography

Prof. Dr. Valentin Ignatov, MDgraduated from the Higher Medical Institute in Varna in 1986, and in 1995 he received a major in surgery. He graduated in "Health Management" Masters in 2012 In 2005 he obtained his Doctorate degree with a dissertation entitled "Diagnostic curative tactics and ND: laser therapy in the conditions of acute bleeding from gastric duodenal ulcers". In 2013 he published a thesis "Acute haemorrhage from the gastrointestinal tract. Diagnosis and treatment ". Specializes in microinvasive surgery - endoscopic and laparoscopic. Accumulates extensive experience in endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic removal of gallstones, polyps of the colon and the colon, esophagus, stomach, duodenum; endoscopic treatment for pancreas pseudo-kits. Under his leadership, the first Department of Surgery at First Clinic of Surgery was established in the country. In 2014 he is Director of "Medical Diagnostic Activity" of the University Hospital "St. Marina ". Since 2016 he has been appointed Executive Director of the University Hospital.
