Amara Mar

Biography

Mrs. Amara Mar serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of ACLEDA BankPlc. and served as its Head of Finance Division and Senior Vice President. Mrs. Mar joined ACLEDA in June 1993. As Executive Vice President & Group Chief Financial Officer, she is a member of the bank's Executive Committee which is responsible for the overall strategic planning and running the day-to-day business of the bank as well as the implementation of the business plan. She has been to The Netherlands in 2008 to join an Assets & Liabilities Management Conference on Final Competition. Since 2008 she participated in a number of training workshops on IFRS and BASEL held by NBC, MEF and KICPAA_ACCA and other several training courses by Training Centres. She graduated from National University of Management in Phnom Penh in 2006 with a Master's Degree of Finance. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management in 2003. She attended several courses on Cost of Accounting, Book-Keeping & Accounts, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Auditing, etc. at Regent College from 1996 to 1998 in Phnom Penh. In 1998, she received a certificate from Bank Rakyat Indonesia for a successful participation in Study Visit on Information Technology of Micro Banking organized by International Visitor Program. She attended The Region Conference on Risk Management in 2007 in Thailand.
