Neal C. Bradsher

Biography

 Neal C. Bradsher, CFA joined our Board of Directors during July 2009. Mr. Bradsher has been President of Broadwood Capital, Inc., a private investment firm, since 2002. Mr. Bradsher holds a B.A. degree in economics from Yale College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Bradsher was a director of Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc., from March 2004 until August 2014, when Questcor was acquired by Mallinckrodt plc. Questcor was a biopharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of patients with serious, difficult-to-treat autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Mr. Bradsher brings to the Board a wealth of experience in finance, management, and corporate governance attained through his successful investments in other companies, including companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, health care services, and health care information systems sectors. He has worked with several health care companies to improve their management and governance, and served as a director of Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Entities that Mr. Bradsher controls have invested in most of BioTime’s financing transactions over the last several years. Mr. Bradsher is the President of the general partner of Broadwood Partners, L.P., currently our largest shareholder.
