Biography

Mr. Oscar Munoz has been the Chief Executive Officer of United Continental Holdings, Inc. and United Airlines, Inc. since September 8, 2015. Mr. Munoz served as President of United Airlines, Inc. and United Continental Holdings, Inc. from September 8, 2015 to August 2016. He served as the President of CSX Corp. from February 11, 2015 to September 8, 2015 and its Chief Operating Officer from January 23, 2012 to September 8, 2015, Chief Financial Officer from May 5, 2003 to January 23, 2012 and its Executive Vice President from May 5, 2003 to February 11, 2015. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice-President of CSX Transportation Inc since May 2003 until September 8, 2015. Prior to joining CSX, he served in various financial and strategic capacities at some of the world's most recognized consumer brands, including AT&T, Coca-Cola Enterprises and PepsiCo. Mr. Munoz served as the Chief Operating Officer of CSX Transportation from January 2012 to February 2015. He has deep and broad experience in both the transportation industry and large consumer brands. He was responsible for all financial, strategic planning, information technology and real estate activities for one of the largest rail and logistics networks in the United States. His financial duties include management of all accounting, tax and treasury activities for CSX. Mr. Munoz served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Consumer Services At&T Corporation from January 2001 to May 2003. He served as Senior Vice President of Finance & Administration of Qwest Communications International Inc. from June 2000 to December 2000. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of U.S. West Retail Markets from April 1999 to May 2000. He served as Controller and Vice President at USWEST Communications Inc. He served key financial positions with Coca Cola Enterprises, Coca Cola Company and USWest Communications, Inc. He has been an Executive Director at United Airlines, Inc. since 2010. He served as Director of CSX Corp. from May 6, 2013 to September 8, 2015. He serves as a Director of Transportation Technology Center, Inc. He has been a Director of United Continental Holdings, Inc. since 2010. He serves as Director of The Partnership for New York City, Inc. He served as a Director of Continental Airlines Inc., since March 2004. He served as a Director of CSX Transportation Inc. In 2001, he was named one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics“ by Hispanic Business magazine. He is active in several industry coalitions and philanthropic and educational organizations including the University of North Florida's Board of Trustees and the PAFA advisory board of Vanderbilt University. Mr. Munoz received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1982 and MBA from Pepperdine University in 1986
