Biography
Mr. Soeun Chhay founded ACLEDA Bank Plc. in 1993 and served as its Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President since July 2006. Mr. Chhay has been the Chairman of the Board at ACLEDA Bank Plc. since May 7, 2015. Mr. Chhay has been a Director at ACLEDA Bank Plc. since September 2014. Mr. Chhay graduated from high school in 1973 and from the Supreme Technology Institute in 1974. He studied accounting at the Economic School in Phnom Penh in 1980. From 1993, he attended numerous courses on management and microfinance in Cambodia and overseas. From 1997, he completed a range of advanced courses in finance at the Regent College in Phnom Penh. In 1998, he completed an executive course on Financial Institutions for Private Enterprise Development (FIPED) at Harvard University, USA. He obtained a diploma in accounting in 2002. Mr. Chhay obtained bachelor's degree of business administration from the Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR), Malaysia, in June 2006. He attended the International Company Directors Course in Perth, WA, July 2006, organised by the Australian Institute of Company Directors and was awarded their diploma in January 2007. He obtained his Executive Master's of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Preston University, California, USA.
