Biography
Dr. Hay Ly Eang to rebuild his country’s pharmaceutical industry. As the country was just recovering from almost three decades of war and the local market was flooded with counterfeit or poor quality drugs, there was one urgent necessity: ensuring all his fellow citizens could have access to high quality, safe and effective drugs. To carry out this ambitious project, Dr. Hay Ly Eang received the support from the European Union ECIP program, and developed of a partnership with the French group CERP. From there, PPM soon became Cambodia’s first GMP-certified laboratory, thanks to transfers of technology and top-quality human resources capacity building.
