Biography
He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Since 2004, he is Director of Research of the Institute of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology of NCSR Demokritos. His current research includes the development of novel plasma processing technologies for smart nanostructures, nanometrology, self-cleaning surfaces and biochemical analysis micron and nano-devices. He holds 8 patents, he has published over 210 papers in journals (over 3,146 references, h-index=28) and has attracted investments in laboratory equipment through competitive research project exceeding €600K. The total budget of his research projects was well over €6 million between 1999 and 2011
