Biography
In 2013, Doug Alexander was elected to the Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC)’s board of directors. He is one of the two Agri-Business/Retail/Food Processor representatives on the board. Doug has 29 years of experience in the food processing industry, currently serving as Chair of the Agri-Food Management Institute. Doug sits on the Food Processing Industry Round Table Executive Steering Committee, and has held the position of Vice President and Director of Food and Beverage Ontario. He is also part of the leadership team at the Ippolito Group, a multi-unit business of two food processing facilities. Prior to that Doug was Vice-President and General Manager of Wing’s Food Products from 2010 to 2014. He has served on the Alliance of Ontario Food Processors’ Board since 2011. Additionally, Doug has committed time to the Food and Beverage Processing Industry Road Map Advisory Committee, the Federal Food Processing Industry Round Table, and the Premiers’ Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence.
