Biography
Ph.D. with 8+ y of experience in basic and applied research on Gram-positive pathogens. In recent years involved in vaccine development and infection disease with a focus on reproductive biology and preterm labor. Specialties: Microbiology, cellular and molecular biology, protein expression and purification, protein-protein interactions, animal work, writing of scientific manuscripts, writing/presenting scientific results, training of new students. My ability to work in a group setting in an efficient, precise and multi-tasking way, combined with my planning and organization skills, strongly complement my scientific expertise. I have been extensively trained in working in a company setting during my 4 years at Novartis Vaccines in Italy, and have proven that I perform well in a collaborative and cross-functional environment. After almost 3 years of postdoc work UCSF I have realized that my personality and passion for science would fit better working in applied science in an high pace environment.
