Kevin Heyries

Biography

I’m a co-founder of AbCellera, a biotech company focused on the discovery of monoclonal antibodies from natural immune repertoires using advanced single cell screening technologies. As part of a dynamic and rapidly growing biotech, I am involved on the operational and scientific aspects since the company inception. My roles are multiple and involve business and technology development, alliances & partnerships, IP, deal structure, as well as antibody discovery project management. I have a broader interest in biotech, biologics and the development of advanced technological platforms for healthcare. My scientific background and experience are in the development of miniaturized systems (microfluidics/micro-arrays) for various applications such as antibody discovery, single cell analysis, genomics and diagnostics (allergy and digital PCR). When I’m not on the job, I enjoy the outdoors around Vancouver either backcountry skiing, running, biking or swimming.
