Research Interest

My interests centre on how stressors affect organisms' physiology and reproductive ecology. Among the stressors Team Shutler works on are pesticides, heavy metals, plastics, low-quality nutrition, and parasites. My lab and I work primarily with birds (mostly tree swallows) and honey bees, but we make occasional forays into other systems
