Biography
In his role as President of Active AgriScience, Ranil establishes company goals and the overall strategic direction of the company, oversees management and ensures that departments meet individual goals. Because of his expertise, Ranil closely directs the activities of R&D. He develops new and innovative fertilizer and plant growth enhancing technologies for the Canadian and international markets. His current activities focus on formulation chemistry designed to maximize plant vigor and yield. Ranil has more than 18 years of experience in crop nutrition, plant growth regulators (PGRs), polyamines and other agrochemicals, and has worked as Director of Research and Development for three leading fertilizer manufacturers in Canada. Ranil holds a PhD. in Toxicology from Simon Fraser University (SFU), a MSc. in Plant Sciences from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and a BSc in Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
