Mark Scherer

Biography

Mark Scherer is Executive Vice President of Aecon Energy, where he has overall executive responsibility for Energy West, Energy East and Aecon Utilities. He is also responsible for Aecon’s fabrication and modularization facilities across Canada, including specialized industrial marine services in Maritime Canada. Mr. Scherer has over 30 years of experience that ranges from the front line, through lower, middle, and upper management. His in-depth knowledge of the industry from the ground up along with outstanding people skills have elevated Mark into an executive leadership position at Aecon. A leader within the industry, Mark is also President of the Pipe Line Contractor Association of Canada (PLCAC). Both Aecon and PLCAC benefit greatly from his knowledge and leadership.
