Biography
Mr. Henry Deans, also known as Harry, Ph.D. (Chem), has been Senior Vice President and President of Wholesale Business Unit at Agrium Inc. since August 24, 2015. Mr. Deans has over two decades of experience in production, sales and marketing and business management of a broad range of petrochemical and commodity products. He served as Chief Executive Officer and Member of Executive Board at INEOS Enterprises Limited. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of INEOS Phenol GmbH since 2011 and INEOS Nitriles. In 2007, Mr. Deans was also appointed Chief Executive Officer of INEOS Healthcare. In 1993, Mr. Deans joined British Petroleum as a graduate Chemist based in Hull, East Yorkshire. Many jobs later, he was appointed Sales Director for Solvents & Industrial Chemicals by Innovene the soon to be spun out division of BP Chemicals. He was educated at Port Glasgow High School before graduating in 1988 with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry from Glasgow University. Mr. Deans obtained both an M.Phil and a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Strathclyde University.
