Biography
Mr. Iyengar VijayKumar Gopalan is the Founder and Managing Director of Agrocorp International Pte Ltd. Mr. Gopalan is the Founder of Agrocorp International, Singapore. He was the Founder and the Managing Director of Agrocorp. Mr. Gopalan has more than 20 years of multinational experience in commodities trading. He has invaluable experience in thrusting SMX as the principal marketplace for emerging economies to transact with the world at large. He served as Chairman of Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI). He serves as an Independent Director of Singapore Mercantile Exchange Pte Ltd. He serves as a Director of Parameswara Holdings Ltd. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Financial Technologies (India) Limited. He serves as a Member of the Steering Committee for Network India- an IE Singapore initiative. He has been conferred the title of Ulaga Thamizhar Thozhil Maamani The crown jewel of World Tamils (Commerce) in January 2009 by Madras Development Society, Chennai, India. Mr. Gopalan holds a B. Tech (Chemical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT ), Bombay and an M.B.A. from the Cornell University.
