Ronald Norman Stern

Biography

Mr. Ronald Norman Stern, L.L.B., serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Alberta Newsprint Company Ltd. Mr. Stern is also the President at Stern Partners. He serves as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of FP Newspapers Inc. Mr. Stern is the Founder of Stern partners and is involved in all aspects of its activities and acts as the Chairman and the Owner, Chief Executive Officer and President at Pacific West Commercial Corporation. Mr. Stern practiced law for approximately 15 years as a Partner at a leading Canadian law firm, with an emphasis on corporate and commercial law and various social interest matters. Since 1989, he has devoted his full time to the management of his business interests. He is a Member of Board of Advisors of Beehive Holdings. Previously, he served as an Advisor at the firm. Mr. Stern serves as Chairman of FPCN General Partner Inc., a General Partner of FP Canadian Newspapers Limited Partnership. Mr. Stern has been a Trustee of FP Newspapers Income Fund since May 15, 2002 and serves as the Chairman of Trustees. Mr. Stern has been a Director of FP Newspapers Inc, since March 17, 2010. Mr. Stern has been a Director of FPGP administrator of FP Newspapers Income Fund since November 23, 2001 and also serves as the Chairman of the Board and a Director of FP Canadian Newspapers Limited Partnership. He served as the Director of Kinrot Ventures and Vancouver International Airport Authority. Mr. Stern serves, or has served, on a variety of corporate and community Boards, including the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, the Vancouver General Hospital and University of British Columbia Hospital Foundation, the Vancouver Symphony Society, the Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy and Science World British Columbia. Mr. Stern holds an L.L.B. degree.
