Biography
Professor Law specializes in administrative law, legal history, legal education, the regulation of the legal profession, and professional responsibility. He has taught many of these subjects for over thirty years, with his contributions being recognized by the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association - Alberta Branch through the presentation of a Distinguished Service Award in 2006. Professor Law has long believed in combining his academic work with a commitment to volunteer work within the legal and educational community. In addition to numerous Faculty and senior university committees, he has served on several committees with the Law Society of Alberta, including the education and credentials committee and the Professional Responsibility committee. From 1989-1995, Professor Law was a member of the subcommittee that drafted a new Code of Conduct for the Alberta legal profession. He has also been actively involved with the Canadian Law School Admissions... 2006, Professor Law served as the Scholar-in-Residence with the Law School Admissions Council in Newtown, Pennsylvania - the first such honour for a Canadian law professor.
