Biography
Professor Linda C. Reif is the author of The Ombudsman, Good Governance and the International Human Rights System (Martinus Nijhoff, 2004, 2d ed. in progress) and a co-author of Kindred, Saunders, Brunnee, Currie, McDorman, Mgbeoji, Mickelson, Provost, Reif, and Waters, International Law: Chiefly as Interpreted and Applied in Canada, 8th ed. (Emond Montgomery, 2014). She has published numerous law review articles and book chapters on national human rights institutions (NHRIs), independent children’s rights institutions, ombuds institutions and international trade, business and investment law with publishers in Canada, US, UK, Germany and the Asia-Pacific. She was Editor of Publications, International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) (1989-2009), and edited books on ombudsman studies and The International Ombudsman Yearbook. Professor Reif teaches International Business Transactions, International Human Rights Law, International Trade Law and Public International Law. She has also taught Comparative and EU Law in Spain, Conflict of Laws and International Environmental Law.
