Biography
Salimur Choudhury is a tenure track assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Algoma University, ON, Canada. He is also holding an adjunct assistant professsor position at the School of Computing at Queen's University, ON, Canada. Prior joining Algoma U, he was a tenure track assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at William Paterson University , Wayne, NJ, USA. He also taught several universities in Bangladesh. He finished his PhD from the School of Computing at Queen's University, ON, Canada in 2012. He obtained masters in Computer Science degree from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada in 2008 and completed bachelor in Computer Science and Information technology from Islamic Univeristy of technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2004. The main research interest of Dr. Choudhury is designing energy efficient algorithms for various network optimization problems. The research work of Dr. Choudhury have been published in both theoretical and networking venues (both journals and conferences). Dr. Choudhury also have experience of working in various software industry including IBM Canada Software Lab.
Research Interest
Algorithms design, wireless sensor networks, cellular automata, approximation algorithm.
