Biography
Dr. Simon Xu is a Full Professor in the Department of Math and Computer Science at Algoma University where he is faculty since 2002. He has been the department chair since 2009. Prior to that, he was working in the School of Computer Science of University of Windsor, Canada. He has also conducted the post-doctoral research in the University of Manitoba, Canada, for a few years. · He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University, USA, and a Ph.D. degree in Geology from the University of Liege, Belgium. · His current research interests are in Software Engineering, with focus on Software Evolution and Software Development. · He serves as program committee member to many conferences. He has also chaired 5 IEEE international conferences and been invited to give keynotes.

Software engineering and evolution, program analysis and understanding, cognitive models of software development processes.
