Biography
Christopher Jarratt is the Vice Chair of Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. Mr. Jarratt is a founder and principal of Algonquin Power Corporation Inc., a private independent power developer formed in 1988 which was a predecessor organization to Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. Mr. Jarratt has over 25 years of experience in the development, construction, financing, acquisition and operation of independent electric power generating projects both in North America and internationally. Mr. Jarratt was also a founder and principal of a consulting firm specializing in renewable energy project development. Mr. Jarratt is a water resources engineer and holds a Professional Engineering designation through his Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph. He is a certified Chartered Director (C. Dir.) having completed the Chartered Director program of the Directors College (McMaster University). Mr. Jarratt has served as a Director since June 23, 2011.
