Biography
Dr. Rav Mahal obtained his B.Sc. Honors Applied Chemistry from De Montfort University, UK and went on to receive his Ph.D. and post-doctoral in Organic Chemistry from the University of Salford, UK in 1987. With over 26 years of experience in active pharmaceutical ingredients and drug product industries, mainly within the contract manufacturing environment, Rav’s strength lies with commercialization of drug substance and product, business development and improvement of business systems. He has a sound understanding of P&L, forecasting and budgeting, contract negotiations, and KPI improvement strategies. Rav has held several senior positions in industry; SynProTec (UK), Taro, Ortech and more recently at Patheon. He works closely with clients to develop business strategies for drug substance and product development. He has supported numerous successful commercial launches in multiple countries.
