Biography
David Cornhill is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Founder of AltaGas Ltd., an energy infrastructure company with a focus on natural gas, power and regulated utilities. He has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AltaGas since its inception in 1994, and held the role of Chief Executive Officer for more than two decades. Prior to forming AltaGas, Mr. Cornhill served in the capacities of Vice President, Finance and Administration, and Treasurer at Alberta and Southern Gas Co. Ltd. from 1991 to 1993 and as President and Chief Executive Officer until March 31, 1994. He is a Director of Painted Pony Petroleum Ltd. and a member of the Ivey Advisory Board. He has served on various other non-profit boards with a focus on education and the community.
