David A. Zapico

Biography

  Mr. Zapico was elected Chairman of the Board in June 2017 and has been Chief Executive Officer since May 2016. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from January 2013 to May 2016. He was President, Electronic Instruments, from October 2003 to January 2013. He joined AMETEK as a Product Engineer in 1990 and has held a variety of engineering and general management positions. He was promoted to Division Vice President of Process Instruments in 1996 and Vice President and General Manager of AMETEK Aerospace and Power Instruments Division in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University.   Mr. Zapico was elected Chairman of the Board in June 2017 and has been Chief Executive Officer since May 2016.
