Biography
Sinéad moved to Vancouver from the Emerald Isle during the summer of 2016 and shortly after, joined the Annex team. She graduated from the University of Limerick in 2010 with an honours degree in Irish Language and New Media. Her recruiting career started in 2012, in Australia, when she joined the renowned Canadian fundraising event: The Ride to Conquer Cancer. Sinéad was the Crew and Recruiting Coordinator for the inaugural Western Australian event and she is proud to say that she was part of the largest fundraising event series in Australian history! Sinéad then returned home to Ireland for 2 years where she worked with Adecco as a Recruitment Consultant as part of their IT & Multilingual Division in Dublin where she recruited for, and managed, global accounts. Recruiting is a passion for Sinéad—she loves to help people. Her curiosity and approach blended means she loves to get to know her candidates and match them with the right job! Her events background has also served her well as she has taken on the ‘social secretary’ role this year to help organise team building and fun office events for the Annex family! Her favourite quote can be applied to many aspects of Sinéad’s life and career to date: ‘An Rud is Annamh is Iontach’ – meaning ‘what’s rare is wonderful’!
