Biography

Mr. Verne G. Johnson has been President at KristErin Resources Inc., since January 2000. Mr. Johnson serves as an Advisor to Statoil ASA. He served as Chief Executive Officer from May 2, 2016 to May 2016. He served as Chief Executive Officer of PentaNova Energy Corp. since May 01, 2016 until May 19, 2016. Mr. Johnson served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Liberty Petroleum Ltd. since 1981. He joined Production of Roxy Petroleum Ltd. in 1982 and served as its Vice President of Production. He served as the President of Paragon Petroleum Ltd. since 1987 and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at ELAN Energy Inc. (Formerly, Lasmo Canada Inc.) from December 1989 to September 1997. Mr. Johnson served as the President of Ziff Energy Group from 1998 to August 1999, Chief Executive Officer and President of AltaQuest Energy Corporation from July 1999 to December 1999 and Senior Vice President of Funds Management of Enerplus Resources Group from September 2000 to February 2002. He also served as a Senior Vice President of Enerplus Global Energy Management Inc. He served as a Senior Vice President of Operations at The Enerplus Group. He has been Chairman of PMI Resources Ltd. (Formerly, Petromanas Energy Inc. and WWI Resources Ltd.) since February 23, 2010. He served as Chairman at US Oil Sands Inc. from October 2013 to January 12, 2017. He served as the Chairman of Bella Resources Inc. and AbraPlata Resource Corp. He served as the Chairman of Veresen Inc. since January 1, 2008 until May 12, 2011. He served as the Chairman of Angel Bioventures Inc. He served as the Chairman of Mystique Energy Incorporated and Kodiak Energy Services Inc. He has been a Director of Southward Energy Ltd. since December 1997. He has also been a Member of the board of Calgary Opera for 10 years. He has been the Lead Director of Total E&P Joslyn Ltd. since October 31, 2005.
