David Thompson

Biography

Prior to joining Stratford Managers, David has owned and operated 15 different corporations in fields as diverse as retail, real estate development, information technology, management consulting, publishing, high technology and e-learning development. He was named as one of the top 40 business people in the City of Ottawa under 40 years of age.  With his diverse experience, David was involved in taking a corporation public on the Toronto Stock Exchange and also participated in a reverse takeover of a much larger US based corporation. David has a specific interest in Clean Technology. He is of the firm belief that we have a moral and ethical obligation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to make vital investments in technologies that will specifically address climate change.  A recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal, David was the youngest person to ever serve as a municipal councillor in the Town of Deep River and was the youngest Reeve to ever serve in Renfrew County’s 150-year history. He has also served as a Public School Board Trustee and most recently as a Mayor. David holds an honours degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University  In his CEO advisory role with Stratford Managers, he is focused on providing:  • Strategic improvements that flow directly to the bottom line  • Talent assessment with expeditious results  • Go-to-market strategies with lightning fast implementation  • Revenue growth that can be measured exponentially
