Biography
Mr. Peder Sortland, also known as Per, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of Upstream Facilities at Subsea Technology Group. Mr. Sortland has been the Chief Executive Officer at APPLY AS since July 2011. He serves as the Chairman of OI.II/ Ocean Installer AS. He has around 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, mostly through a long career in Statoil where he held numerous management positions since the mid 90ies. His experience is predominantly in areas of business development, Commercial negotiatons and strategy work. He took on this role at the start of 2011, coming then from a role as regional vice president for Subsea7 in Norway, responsible for Subsea 7 Inc. activities in Norway, Denmark and Russia. He serves as a Director at Statoil Canada Ltd. Mr. Sortland has a business education on MBA level from Norway and the US and he is a Fulbright Scholar. He is a Norwegian citizen living in Stavanger.
