Stefanie Colombo

Biography

Stefanie Colombo is an Assistant Professor and Canada Research Chair in Aquaculture Nutrition at Dalhousie University. The goal of her research is to discover novel solutions in nutrition to improve aquaculture and contribute toward healthier, environmentally sustainable, and economically viable farmed seafood. She has industry experience in aquaculture production, from which she gained a unique perspective to her research and is increasingly important for academic-industry collaborations. She has been an AAC member since 2010 and has served on its Board of Directors since 2013. Stefanie hopes to help improve benefits for members, to continue to organize productive and interesting conferences, and to support the liaison among industry, government, and academic members in the aquaculture community.
