Biography
Tara Daggett has been involved in aquaculture for 18 years. Her experience ranges across shellfish and finfish and includes perspectives from academia, science, industry and government. She was a research assistant on a sea urchin project in New Brunswick for 5 years and is currently the senior marine environmental biologist with Sweeney International Marine Corp. (SIMCorp). Tara’s work focuses on environmental assessments for both existing and prospective aquaculture ventures positioning her as a liaison between industry and government. She is enthusiastic about aquaculture, in all its myriad forms, and about the marine environment. She has a BSc from Dalhousie University and an MSc from the University of New Brunswick Saint John. She has been a member of AAC since 2002, first as an individual and then corporately through SIMCorp.
