Faris El Refaie

Biography

  Faris El Refaie is the Vice President, Oncology of AstraZeneca Canada Inc., part of AstraZeneca PLC, one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies.  He has more than 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, predominantly within the marketing and sales functions.    

Research Interest

 Faris is returning to Canada from the United States (U.S.), where he has spent the last three and half years on an International Assignment.  In his previous role in the U.S. as Senior Marketing Director, Women’s Cancer Franchise, Faris was responsible for leading the formation and development of the Women’s Cancer Franchise. In addition to other roles in the U.S. business, including Secretariat to the U.S. Leadership Team, and Senior Director of Commercial Strategy, Faris previously worked in a variety of Sales and Marketing roles at AstraZeneca Canada.
