Biography
Dr. Arscott has been teaching at Athabasca University since 1998. During that time she designed and produced the Human Services program of the Bachelor of Professional Arts degree that opened to students in 2000. She collaborates with other members of the academic instructional team to coordinate the program and provide stimulating course offerings to students. Jane relies of the expertise of staff in many departments, especially Margot Young, for advising and planning individualized programs for students. She takes pride in the success of students in the Human Services program. Jane has been involved in two projects funded by the Department of Human Resources and Development. More information about this activity is given on the Research page. In both endeavours Dr. Arscott co-led the activities with Dr. Ingrid Crowther.
Research Interest
She is writing a new course Human Services 306 which will introduce students to the Human Service program. Revisions to the program regulations are underway that add many crosslisted and new courses to the program.
