Biography
I am originally from Mexico City, where I grew up and studied my Bachelor's degree in mathematics with an orientation in Real Analysis at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (1978). I immigrated to Canada to further my studies in mathematics. I obtained my M.Sc. (1979) and Ph.D. (1985) from McMaster University, in the field of harmonic analysis under the supervision of Dr. James Stewart. Later I became interested in distance education and I obtained a M.D.E. (2001) from Athabasca University. Before joining Athabasca University I taught for about 20 years in the University of Regina. I have been Academic Coordinator of Mathematics for Athabasca University since 2005
Research Interest
