Biography
oug Buchanan joined the leadership team of the new combined organization and holds the position of Vice President & Senior Integration Officer at LifeLabs. Doug has more than 40 years experience in strategic and operational management of projects and organizations, having held various executive management positions for organizations as BC Biomedical Laboratories Ltd., Whatcom Group and Price Waterhouse. From 1994 to 2013, Doug was the Managing Director & CEO for BC Biomedical Laboratories Ltd., the first management executive recruited from outside the physician-owned ranks of this major supplier of medical services. Doug was responsible for strategy implementation and all day-to-day operations for this organization that comprised a modern diagnostic laboratory and 45 branch locations throughout the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, employing more than 750 people.
