Biography
As at December 2016 David Allan is Director of Cresswell Advisors, assisting development-stage companies in the life sciences and early-stage and established companies in multiple fields. He was the Founding Chairman of Formation Biologics Inc (antibody-drug conjugates) following three years as Executive Chairman of Stem Cell Therapeutics Corp (now Trillium Therapeutics -TSX/NASDAQ). He was chairman from the founding in 1994, and CEO from 1998-2011, of YM BioSciences Inc. the NYSE/MKT/TSX haematology/oncology company acquired by Gilead Sciences Inc. in February 2013. He has been a board member of a number of companies including the public companies Avivagen Inc from 2015 through October 2016 and DiaMedica Inc, from 2006 to 2013, where he was lead director.
