Biography
Dr. Julien is an internationally recognized leader in ALS research. He is currently Professor of Neuroscience and Senior Canada Research Chair in Neurodegeneration at Laval University. Dr. Julien has published over 190 peer-reviewed papers, many in top ranked journals such as: Cell, Neuron, Science, Nature, among others. He is a member of the Robert Packard Center for ALS at Johns Hopkins University, the Gairdner Medical Review Panel, the ALS Society of Canada and is a recipient of the Sheila Essey Award for ALS research from the American Academy of Neurology and the LeÌo-Pariseau prize which is awarded annually to a distinguished individual working in the field of biological or health sciences in QueÌbec.
