Biography
John Rice has been the Vice Chairman, GE and President and Chief Executive Officer, GE Global Growth Organization since November 2010. Rice previously served in various leadership positions across GE, including Vice Chairman, GE and President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Technology Infrastructure from 2007 until November 2010. Rice was the Vice Chairman of GE’s industrial and infrastructure businesses from 2005 until 2007, President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Energy from 2000 until 2005, and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Transportation from 1997 until 2000. He began his career at GE in 1978 and has held leadership positions based in both the United States and in other global markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Canada.
