Matthias Heilmann

Biography

 Matthias Heilmann is President and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Solutions at Baker Hughes, a GE company. A 20-year industry veteran, Heilmann previously served as Chief Digital Officer, President and CEO of Digital Solutions at GE Oil & Gas, where he oversaw the development of digital products, services and software that deliver asset and operations optimization for the oil and gas industry and was responsible for all product lines, systems and global operations of the Digital Solutions business unit. Before joining GE, Heilmann led ABB’s Global Product Group Enterprise Software business from June 2014 to January 2016 where he oversaw strategy creation, business model development, go-to-market execution for industrial software, critical technology transformation, and the development of key partnerships across the business. From 2012 to 2014, he served as Managing Partner for CounterPoint Capital Partners, LLC, and from 2005 to 2012 as Operating Partner for Platinum Equity, LLC in various leadership roles in technology, software, operations, and finance.  From 2000 to 2003, Heilmann worked at SAP as Vice President in various sales and business development roles. Heilmann started his career in 1996 with A.T. Kearney, Inc in Germany with subsequent assignments in the U.S.  He earned a Ph.D in finance and management accounting from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Saarland, Saarbruecken, Germany.
