Biography
Mr. John F. Cordeau serves as Senior Partner, Vice-Chair and Lead Director of Bennett Jones LLP. Mr. Cordeau has a distinguished career in commercial litigation, receivership and debt restructuring. In his more than 20 years with Bennett Jones, he has played an active role in management of the legal firm and has served on its executive committee. Mr. Cordeau served as a Director of Synenco Energy Inc., since September 13, 2001. Mr. Cordeau is a Member of the Board of Directors of CSP Holdings Inc. He also serves as a Director of a number of private companies. Mr. Cordeau served as the Director of Petro-Canada since 1994. He served as a Director of NAV Canada. He is a Foundation Member and Governor of St. Mary's University College and is a Member of the Leaders of the Way, United Way of Calgary and Area. He serves as Counsel to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary. Mr. Cordeau holds BA from Loyola College in 1972 and LLB from McGill University in 1976.
