Michael Budde Sr.

Biography

Mike Budde's career in the electronics industry spans four decades, beginning in 1980 as Field Sales Manager of Distribution for Grayhill, Inc. in LaGrange, Illinois.  His duties involved traveling throughout the United States and Canada reviewing sales performance along with introducing new Grayhill products to their distribution partners.  In 1984 Mike was hired as Natonal Distributor Sales Manager for Littelfuse, Inc., a manufacturer of circuit protection devices.  His role was expanded when hired at Littelfuse to include P&L responsibility for annual sales exceeding $50,000,000 sold through their distribution network.  Mike worked at Littelfuse until 1996 when the entrepreneurial spirit struck him and he decided to branch out on his own to start a business.   He founded Budde Marketing Systems, Inc. in June of 1996.  Today, Budde Marketing employs twenty five staff people, providing industry point-of-sale marketing and commission reporting for over 100 manufacturers.   When asked what makes his company the success that it is, he says that the answer is the people that he’s been privileged to work with both as associates and clients of Budde Marketing.  “I’ve developed some wonderful friendships over the years that has made everything about Budde Marketing a great experience.  It’s been a great ride!”    Mike is also very active in his community.  He has served as a trustee and treasurer for the Homer Township Library District since 2004.  He has been a member of the Homer Township Chamber of Commerce for the past twelve years, holding various positions including President, Vice President and Treasurer.  Mike has also been on the board of directors of The Sertoma Speech and Hearing Center, currently serving as Chairman of the Board.
