Biography
Larry Boggio is the founder and co-owner of Boggio Family of Pharmacies. Larry grew up in Port Colborne, and worked as a stock boy at Matheson’s Pharmacy while attending high school at Lockview Park High School and then Port Colborne High School. After graduation, Larry left Port Colborne to attend the University of Toronto. Larry graduated and became a licensed pharmacist in 1981. After graduation, Larry returned to Port Colborne and began working for Bob Beckett at Beckett Pharmacy, on the corner of King and Clarence St. In 1983, Larry was able to purchase Beckett Pharmacy renamed it Boggio Pharmacy. In 1985, Boggio Pharmacy was moved to a new location on King St. and then on Catharine St. in 1990. This flagship store served as the beginning of a long history of the Boggios serving the Niagara Region. Larry has a 30+ history as a Pharmacist and business owner, having grown his business from one to four stores in four communities across Niagara – Fonthill, Niagara Falls, Ridgeway and Port Colborne. He now proudly employs over 100 individuals across these communities. Larry has always enjoyed living and working in the Niagara Region and actively supports many charities, groups and activities in the Niagara Region. Larry is most actively involved with the United Way of South Niagara, the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association and Port Cares. His wife Cathy, sons Aaron and Kyle and daughter Sue are also involved in the community and all work for Boggio Family of Pharmacies.
