Biography
Professor at UBC Civil Engineering, Dr. Lo is the principal investigator and co-inventor of the IMPACT™ process – a microwave-peroxide technology for treatment of organic slurries. He has over 40 years of experience in biological process applications for waste treatment and utilization, including aerobic and anaerobic treatment, nutrient recovery from food processing and agricultural wastewater, and management of solid wastes such as composting and anaerobic digestion.
