Biography
Johnson’s journey began at Booth University College, where he graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Social Work. Johnson has since worked for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority CSU as a crisis unit practitioner. Johnson recently graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Manitoba, focusing on immigrant mental health issues, an area he is passionate about and would like to research.
Research Interest
In 2015, Johnson co-presented at the Strangers in New Homelands conference on the topic titled Cultural and systemic stigma within mental health: Integrating alternative approaches. Johnson is also in a private practice with Riverbend Counselling & Wellness.
