Biography
Dr. Kerr became President of Booth University College on July 1, 2016. In this role she will work closely with the Board of Trustees, Cabinet, faculty and staff to take Booth UC forward in achieving its mission and vision to become a Christian university. Prior to her appointment as President Dr. Kerr served for three years as the Vice President Academic and Dean. In addition to her overall responsibility to provide leadership for the academic programs of Booth University College, during her time as VP she worked closely with the previous President and Cabinet in developing and implementing Booth’s strategic plan, “Vision 2020: The Road to Booth Universityâ€, led the institution’s Strategic Enrolment Planning initiative and oversaw the development of a joint MTS in Salvation Army Studies with Tyndale University College and Seminary.
Research Interest
Dr. Kerr has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Waterloo. She is a registered psychologist in Ontario, a certified executive coach and holds membership in several professional associations, including service as a past Chair of the Canadian Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Dr. Kerr has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on a contract basis at the University of Waterloo, the University of Guelph, and Tyndale Seminary.
