Biography
A co-founder of Boreal Genomics, Joel leads a team focused on the innovation and development of the company’s core technologies. Joel has been closely involved in both instrument and assay product development, and is a co-inventor on many of Boreal’s patents. Joel received his B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics from UBC in 2005, and his Ph.D. in Physics from UBC in 2009. Joel studied under Dr. Marziali, where his thesis work was the demonstration and initial development of what is now Boreal’s SCODA technology.
